We are the Seoul Crushers, a team of expats playing in South Korea, representing Korea at the Asia Pool Challenge (APC). Our debut year we played in Ho Chi Min and have fielded a team each year since.

About APC – The Asia Pool Challenge is an annual competition for AMATEUR expatriate players formed into teams of 12 and representing their respective cities in an event held in a number of Asian cities in rotation.

Our goal is to bring the right talented players to this competition and develop a winning team.

TEAM History:

A new team from Seoul, South Korea will be entering the Asia Pool Challenge in 2016 being hosted in Ho Chi Minh City this September.

Paul Riddle is the Team Organizer and is very keen to show off the talents of the Itaewon Pool League.

The brainchild of long-time Korea resident Bob Denny, the Itaewon Pool League (IPL) recently entered its fifteenth year with Wednesday nights across Seoul dedicated to big breaks and a few beers around the pool table. With the main aim of promoting friendship and camaraderie through competition, the league brings a mix of expatriates and Koreans together of all ages and skill levels.  The league runs two seasons a year, with 20 weeks of regular season action followed by playoffs and an end-of-season banquet.  Matches break off at 7.30pm every Wednesday night, with teams playing 15 frames – twelve singles matches and three doubles matches over the night. The Itaewon Pool League has 22 teams participating in the 2016 season.

Seoul Crushers finished in 5th place at APC 2016 SAIGON. This was their debut in APC. They had some very talented players who tested a lot of opposition teams.

At APC 2017 BANGKOK, Crushers again finished in 5th place. Seoul has a large pool league so they have the potential to develop a very strong team in the future.

At APC MANILA 2018 the Seoul Crushers came with a weaker team and finished the tournament in 7TH Position which is the lowest placing since they joined the competition.

2018 was disappointing and we have come back stronger and more organized than ever hoping to prove ourselves in Jakarta.

Seoul Crushers improved overall performance and placed within striking distance of next tier, Crushers will return in 2020 to Compete in Bangkok.
